02/13 FoE (storylines, tasks and events)

Unfortunately, I rely heavily on the stories and the prompts. I still am having a hard time finding “meaning” while playing the game but hopefully that will change the more I play. The ongoing story lines help me find out things about the game I would have never knew I could do or accomplish. The daily task in a sense do give purpose and value to the game and help students and/or gamers understand what daily tasks are and how accomplishing them gets you farther. In real life too! The archeology event is something I have no idea even exists so I had to look it up. It happened in May 2019 and was almost a limited edition situation that offered different tasks, challenges and missions for the player which seems super cool.

  1. I totally relate to you! I rely on the story prompts too, or else I would not know what to do. Similarly, I use the daily tasks to accomplish productivity while playing the game. I also looked up the Archeology Event, I think that was the point since it was from 2019. I basically posted the same blog post so know you are not alone. Thanks for being honest! Good luck with the game!

  2. Hi Natalie, I also rely heavily on the stories and prompts. It was really useful when setting it up initially. I liked the arrows pointing me where to go. But at one point I got stuck in a loop and wasn’t sure how to continue. I’m not familiar with these types of games. I don’t find meaning in it either. There doesn’t seem to be much of a purpose to the game. I continue to collect coins and build things. I have a couple friend requests but if I accept them I’m not sure what effect it would have on my game.
