I believe that an educational redesign of this game is that it needs more narratives than just the western European POV. I love how this game gives a historic perspective and does a good job at representing the European historic ways of “doing” but it is a bit narrow minded. If it gave a wider historical perspective I feel it would be beneficial for the people playing. A good example would be a perspective from the people from the Native Hawaiian Islands. Maybe different versions of the game that had different perspectives like this, or different lands?
I do like how many different kinds of currencies there are, but I can admit that I do get super confused on what to use on what. Since there are coins, diamonds, supplies AND medals I kind of get overwhelmed. Since the diamonds are harder to come by, I always get so nervous using them, then again that’s essentially WHAT we are playing for so I have to use them! Just scared of going broke lol. The coins are way easier to collect so I spend those a lot.
